"back from japan..."

hey guys, just to let you know i'm back from japan and still alive and kicking... if you want, you can access my pictures of Yokohama & Tokyo here... and i have a seperate gallery for my Disneyland trip here...

a short summary of my trip, you can read if you are interested or click here to access a good porn site... anyway, i came in 77th at Pro Tour Yokohama, (the highest placing singaporean yet again) and my ranking is now 2nd in Singapore thanks to my above average performance... i missed out on the money by 2 places which was a REAL bummer, but i collected some Pro Points for my effort...

The weather in japan was great (about plus minus 10 degrees) though it was a bummer that i missed the Sakura season... I caught a live baseball game in Yokohama and visited a theme park named "Cosmoworld"... Disneyland was amazing, as was my trip to Mount Fuji and the luxurious stay at a Spa Resort... here are some pics for now...

Pro Tour Yokohama - 77th seed in the world

Yokohama Stadium catching a live baseball game

Ferris Wheel of CosmoWorld Theme Park Spa Resort at Hakone, Tokyo

more when we meet... right now, i cant wait to go to BANGCOCK... =)

"Here's the Plan"

Due to popular demand (actually more bcuz of budget problems and convenience sake), we are going to BangCock and Katchanaburi. We'll spend 5 luxurious days over there and live like kings, or Sultans, cuz things there are DIRT cheap. So those few of you who can't go initially due to financial difficulties, here's another chance for you to reconsider.

After analysing the almanac and consulting the Gods, we have chosen the auspicious dates of 10-14 May. Since the Gods have spoken, those of you who have agreed to join better not go back on your words else may the Gods strike you with lightning while you stay in Singapore! Preparations for our INVASION into Thailand will thus begin today. First of all, we need to build up our resources ($200 each) for our campaign. So fellow comrades, chip in your part (transfer to my POSB savings acct 093-67001-9). Send me a pegion-mail (SMS) once you've done that. General Chapman is currently drafting out the battle plans (itinerary) and will be releasing it in a couple of days time.

"ok wrong approach..."

nick, i wont be picking u up from airport cuz i'll be working that saturday haha... but if you promise me a present maybe i can change my shift... LOL kidding...

can everyone please SMS me the DATES from May to July that you are NOT free? Then I'll choose the dates which most people can make it one... that makes more sense... after we fix the date, then we choose the place mah...

SMS me the DATES that you are NOT free... I think if we go Bangkok or Phuket, we can make it a 5 day affair but if we going HK, i think 1 week better...

In particular, please let me know if you are free within these 2 periods... If the trip doesnt happen in May, then most probably July...
10 to 15 May

"class trip 2007 in the works"

ok our class trip is in the works but nothing can be done unless u guys confirm the dates you are free... READ THIS, please confirm if you are free on the week of 17 MAY to 24 MAY... based on my research (and caifong's), this seems to be a good time... firstly, school holiday commences on the 26th May and we really dont want to kena the peak season... cost of everything goes up...

we have suggested bangkok or thailand... Taiwan's definitely more fun (plus i miss taiwan food), but bangkok's much cheaper and we get to live like a king, for those who want to "la sup" can go ahead, i know the way... The last time i checked (which was today), the flight to Taipei alone is $471 with Jetstar... to Bangkok, its $204... or we could do the genting thing again but i really rather not... anyway, here is my personal research, complete with summary of air tickets, hotel fares and expected expenditure on touring! All prices for air tickets are INCLUSIVE of all taxes...

Macau / Hong Kong
S$234 for Return Air Ticket to Macau (Tiger Airways)
Asia's version of Las Vegas... We can alternate between Macau and Hong Kong and eventually fly back from Macau... Hong Kong is S$380 away from Macau by helicopter (gasp!)... but we can get there by ferry within S$30 one way or go to shenzhen (yes that is in china) for about the same price. And if we go to Hong Kong, we can go DISNEYLAND and Ocean Park! Entrace is S$60 and S$35 respectively... Hotels in Macau and HK average S$100 a night... Read more about Macau here!
http://www.macautourism.gov.mo/en/index.php

Darwin $466 for Return Air Ticket (Tiger Airways)
Perth $519 for Return Air Ticket (Tiger Airways)
Australia is nice and all, but after busting half a grand on the air ticket, i have to pay big bucks for everything on the island... if we wanted this type of budget, we would enjoy ourselves more in taiwan... please correct me if i am wrong... but then again, ITS ALMOST WINTER! we may want to go there and play with real snow...

Bangkok
$182 for Return Air Ticket (Tiger Airways)
Accomodation is about 800B a night for up to 4 persons, for that works out to be $8.70 a night... its practically retarded... the Chaktuchat Weekend market is a highlight, since there are 20000 stalls to spend your money on... plus everything is so cheap we can live like a king and have really good food...

Phuket
$156 for Return Air Ticket (Tiger Airways)
while researching holiday ideas, i bumped upon an idea! we can charter a yacht in Phuket! I've checked the rates and I saw a nice CATAMARAN that goes for $700 a night... not too bad if we share, plus we have complete control over the boat for 24 hours which can be potentially fun... ok just an idea... i know places where we can book a bungalow by the sea and stay by the beach resort for maybe two nights or so... one bungalow 100 metres from Patong Beach costs 1800B or $78 a night... retarded... even cheaper than Downtown East Chalet... the biggest bungalow is about 2800B ($120) a night... If you guys want to see real tigers, can go to Kanchanaburi and stay at the farmside resort for 1 night and go take pictures with tigers like what I did... Bungalows are 450B a night twin sharing and transport and entry to Tiger Temple, transport to and fro totals about $28...

Taiwan
$471 for Return Air Ticket (Jetstar)
Taiwan is just fun la, been there more than 10 times and still like that place... not sure if I'm willing to pay that kind of price for an air ticket though... how about u guyS?
