Hi guys, sorry the the prolonged absence... just POPped last Wednesday and going to new unit on Monday! My block leave is only two days man! Sigh... wish i could meet up with u guys really soon...
Just to update you all on my posting, I've been posted to Headquarters of Republic of Singapore Navy (HQ RSN) RSS Panglima Camp. My vocation is a Navy Combat Systems Operator. Am I the only one posted to the Navy? =)
Reported to my new unit today... it's a really new unit i must say, everyone only moved into the new headquarters 2 months ago! Discovered that there were bunks in the camp, so it will be a stay-in vocation for me... the flipside is that, our bunks have a sea view! Booked out today but will be staying in camp til thursday nite before we book out for Good Friday... then starting next week, we will be having a 6 week course for Basic Naval Training (BNT)...
i think my vocation is pretty good... for too many reasons... firstly, its so darn close to my house... tanah merah is just two stops away! secondly, we get free shuttle bus thru and fro the campsite, so i dont even have to change bus... third, even if u are PES C, you are still fit for this vocation, which means training cant be that tough. Forth, we're at the HQ which means we get promoted really really fast! I'll be a Corporal in 6 weeks time and probably a Seargant in less than 6 months! Makes infantry promotion seem really really slow! Plus, the food is great! We got half a spring chicken today man!
